Japanese Act on Sperm Bank Crisis
The Japanese government has reacted swiftly and decisively to head off the emerging crisis in the country's sperm banking industry.
As soon as it became clear that the problems that started in the US were spreading worldwide, the Japanese parliament met in emergency session and passed a special Sperm Law.
This requires all Japanese males between the ages of 18 and 40 to make regular savings in their sperm bank account. Special branches of the sperm banks (pictured) have been set up to handle the extra custom, and extra customer service staff have been trained to handle the customers.
The head of Japan's largest Sperm Bank said the scheme has been a success: "We've literally been flooded with new deposits."
This decisive action will only increase the pressure on the UK government to act to deal with the ermging crisis back home.
