It's not every day that Kay ends up in a gloriously sunny foreign location while we're stuck back here at base in the rain - she visits her parents in Surrey for a couple of days at Christmas each year.
The rest of the time she's in Dubai, Australia, Jamaica and so on - but never seems to find stories to report from Russia, Greenland, Iceand or Belgium.
