Hugh Joorn, Economics Editor

Hugh graduated with a masters degree in Economics from the University of Batley, and then earned a PhD from an American website that contacted him via a mass email campaign.
He's never happier than when he has his nose in spreadsheets and charts full of facts and figures, and finding ways to explain economics to you as if you were a small child.
As a sideline he's landed a plum job as the voiceover on the hit BBC-TV series 'The Bitch Pitch' in which aspiring entrepreneurs try to win investment from tough-talking businesswoman Belinda 'Bitch' Burton. Rumours of a secret relationship between Hugh and the start of the series are said to be unfounded, though he does regularly appear in the office with what look like stilleto imprints in his cheek and doesn't like to be patted on the back because it's still tender from the whipping.
